Management

We believe our management team is made up of some of the best and brightest in the industry, starting with our co-founders Sue Wakefield and Scott Burkhardt.

Ms. Wakefield began her career in the medical billing industry.  Rising to become General Manager of a Midwestern billing firm, she saw the need for a superior revenue cycle management partner and the potential for the future.

Mr. Burkhardt holds a Bachelor of Science from MIT and manages company operations.  He has developed and written all of the company’s database programs.  He remains intimately involved in the ongoing evolution of the company's technology platforms and its integration with our clients.

Beginning as a front line collector, David S. Carpenter, Executive Vice President, moved upward through the ranks of American Creditors Bureau before joining Wakefield in 1994 as Legal Director.  He has been instrumental in adding value to our services through his knowledge of industry trends involving compliance, human resources, and litigation.

Kenneth J. Olson, VP/Operations, brings over 20 years experience in collections, both as a manager and as an owner of a Collect America franchise.  His insight and management skills are an integral part of our success in achieving the highest rates of recovery for our clients.
